Menthal was a project at the University of Bonn with Dr. Alexander Markowetz. It started in 2014 as a smartphone addiction study. Menthal, an app for digital diets that was intended for mobile phone usage, attracted more than 300, 000 users across the world. This multifaceted project dealt with a variety of topics. I contributed to this project as a research assistant. This project was also the starting point for my affective computing-related research. I started studying mood and emotion literature and analyzed more than two million records of user mood data. My master thesis was part of my collaboration with this project. I then joined the interactive systems group in 2016.
